Claim the repair cost from them
For starters I would get straight on to those idiots that used your drain to wash their buckets to get back and put it right! tell them how angry you are and that you expect them to put it right.
If that fails then you should call your water board (depending on which area you live) and say you got and external blocked drain in front of your house. I am assuming you mean the drain in the road outside your property.
Get them back to sort it out its down to them.
If the blockage is impossible to clear through ‘rodding’, then ask a reputable builder to dig up your drainpipe system and clear/replace the pipes. Take pictures of the cause (the plaster ‘debris’,) and get written comfirmation from the builders. Present this evidence to the plastering firm… if they ignore you, go to the small claims court. You are almost certain to win and get back the costs you incurred. Good luck
Call their office and advise someone in charge of their error. Take pictures in case they are needed later before you attempt to clean anymore because it is not your responsibility to have to clean up their mess.
If the plasterers don’t send someone to unstop your drain, you have the right to call someone to do it for you and send the plaster company the bill. It will likely have already set up and require a bit-type worm used by sewer drains, so it’s not going to be easy.
If taken to small claims court you will win, I promise because it was their fault and negligence.
Get the damn plasterers back and make them clear up their mess and put your drain right,it is solely down to them.
Contact the plasterers and tell them what they have done and ask them to arrange to clear the plaster residue. Give them 24 hours to deal with it and then tell them that you will have the job done and the bill will be presented to them. Contact your insurance company and they might take up the case for you. Meanwhile get something to poke at the plaster and hopefully open up a channel for the water etc to pass.
